Healthy Foods that Can Fend Off Wrinkles
Healthy foods are not always the most popular foods. However, they can be delicious with very little trouble. If you are having difficulty forcing down fruit instead of fruit-flavored creamsicles, then consider using this information to give yourself a little extra motivation.
There are a lot of healthy foods that will prevent wrinkles and the other signs of aging. In fact, just eating right can not only help you live longer, it can also help you look younger while you are doing it. So the next time you are about to grab a peanut butter crunch bar, grab some nuts instead. This doesn’t sound nearly as appealing does it? It just might when you are finished reading.
If you want to fight the effects age has on you, then add the following foods to your diet:
• Oranges and other types of citrus
Oranges and citrus fruits are high in vitamin C. Vitamin C is one of the best products out there as it literally seals up the wrinkles and cracks in your skin. Vitamin C is used widely in topical anti-aging products. But you must be able to heal from within too and if you eat oranges you will get a huge dose of vitamin C.
• Walnuts
There are a lot of antioxidants in walnuts. They contain wonderful cancer providing agents. Not only will they impede skin cancer from developing, but can fight other types of environmental weathering.
• Green tea
Green tea is also a wonderful source for antioxidants.
• Almonds
Almonds and almond oil are also loaded with vitamin E. When you apply vitamin E topically it can actually lighten scars and stretch marks. Age spots will disappear when using vitamin E topically. Taken internally vitamin E will actually help to prevent age spots from forming.
(Note: if you take vitamin E and are having surgery anytime soon, you will want to ask you doctor about the correct to take. Some people will bleed more when taking extra vitamin E, so you may just want to stop taking any supplement at this time)
