If you are bored with vegetarians telling you how healthy they are because they don’t eat meat you might be interested in some counterarguments. In actual fact there are many reasons why eating meat is also good for you and you will find a few of these reasons if you read on.

- It is a part of our culture to eat meat; our species have been eating meat since its origin. And if it weren’t for the fact that we do eat meat, it would be unlikely that humans would have survived this long.

- We need protein to survive and meat is a great natural source of protein. Protein is not only needed because it provides energy but also because it is needed to help our body build cells and other important elements of human life.

- Meat is also a great source of iron and we need iron in our diets to keep our blood healthy. One of the reasons why many vegetarians look so pale is because of the fact that they do not eat meat and this means they are not getting enough iron in their diet. Most meat eaters don’t have to think much about iron because they are getting enough in their diet already. For vegetarians however, it is much more of an issue and it is even worse for vegans.

- Mental functioning is dependant on B vitamins and a lack of these in the diet can result in mental problems like depression. Meat will provide the body with plenty of B vitamins.

- CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a substance which is also found in meat and which has shown to help with the fight against some kinds of cancers.

- Meat also contains Stearic acid which may be useful because it can lower cholesterol levels.

So there you have just a few of the many benefits of meat. So the next time you are faced with a vegetarian on the warpath, you will have a few reasons to argue with them.

In the modern world, more and more people are interested innutritional information. It is not only this though as a lot of these individuals would also like to find out as much as they can about things like healthy eating recipes or even red meat.
