Eat Steak Every Day
We are constantly being told what we shouldn’t eat, what we should eat or how often we should not or should eat it and with the hundreds of diets (backed by celebrities with fabulous physiques) it’s a wonder how we mere mortals are able to feed ourselves at all!
A confusing topic that comes up quite often is eating beef and other red meats. It might be that we struggle with this one because it’s just so tasty and there aren’t many people who won’t salivate at the mention of a juicy beef steak. But the varying recommendations that we read in magazines, on the world wide web and on the television about eating beef has turned it into a guilty pleasure and the ‘My Body is a Temple’ types to the ordinary person on the street may opt to cross it off the food list altogether or spend 4 hours down the gym trying to ‘burn it off’.
“You shouldn’t eat beef on a daily basis because it sits inside your gut rotting away for months. Red meat contributes to heart disease and is full of unhealthy fats.”
Sound familiar?
How about if I told you that red meat can be perfectly healthy and that you can eat steak every day if you want to. You see, the key to a healthy diet is simply about moderation and getting the right balance. It isn’t eating red meat that is the problem; it’s the quality of that beef and what you eat with it.
Avoid: Processed red meats such as burgers and frozen meats with additives
Instead: Opt for organic, fresh, pasture-raised beef
Avoid: Eating beef with bread ie hamburgers
Instead: Serve fresh salad and vegetables with beef. These contain fat busting enzymes.
Preparing a healthy Steak meal is simple:

Want to add some more flavor to your steak and keep it healthy? Simply add crushed peppercorns, crushed garlic, mixed herbs, rosemary or other herb during cooking. Alternatively, marinade the steak beforehand cooking using your own mix of herbs and natural yoghurt. Yum!
